2.11.05: Dr. Lam is invited to present two lectures at Columbia University in New York City at the “Conference on Minimally Invasive and Current Surgical Techniques of the Face”. He talks about his combination graft approach for hair restoration and about his extensive experience with the long-lasting, all-natural soft-tissue filler, Radiesse.

9.04: Dr. Lam receives recognition for his teaching and live surgery in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Lam’s live surgery and workshops have taught scores of Korean surgeons the art and technique of advanced facial rejuvenation.

9.04: Dianne Bourque, Dr. Lam’s nursing director, has been elected the national vice president for the Organization of Facial Plastic Surgery Assistants and will assume the Presidency the following year. She intends to create a first-time newsletter that will strengthen communication and education between the major semi-annual meetings.

6.04: Jose Eber comes on board. Dr. Lam signs deal with Jose Eber. The new Jose Eber will be on-site at the Willow Bend Wellness Center to provide high-end hairstyling and products. Currently, the new Jose Eber will be the only location outside of his flagship Rodeo Drive location.

5.04: Dr. Lam relocates and expands his office. Dr. Lam's state-of-the-art surgical facility, wellness center, and spa opens across from the Shops at Willow Bend. This 27,000 square-foot center houses Dr. Lam's new medical office and surgical suites; the Hanna Isul Medical Spa, Jose Eber; and Plano Dental Excellence. The center is located at the intersection of Chapel Hill Boulevard and Communications Parkway immediately off of the Dallas North Tollway and is situated directly across from the Shops at Willow Bend. The building is constructed of limestone to match the beauty of the adjacent mall and features a limestone lobby and waterfall with a Japanese meditation garden and limestone waterfall outside.

12.11-20.03: Dr. Lam Performs Live Surgery and Presents 4 Lectures in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Lam travels to Seoul, Korea to present 3 lectures at the 1st ESSE Symposium of Aesthetic Surgery ("Augmentation Rhinoplasty with the Bird Implant", "Upper Facial Rejuvenation: Correction of the Brow and Eyelid Complex", "Lower Facial Rejuvenation: Correction of Lines, Jowl, and Neck Complex"); 1 lecture at the 2nd Simmian Congress of Aesthetic Surgery ("Review of the Facelift"); and performs live brow and eyelid surgery to over 100 plastic surgeons. He is also teaching Korean surgeons advanced facelifting techniques for the remainder of the week.

11.23.03: Dr. Lam is featured on Korean Television The Hyundai Channel flies from Seoul, Korea to Dallas, Texas to interview Dr. Lam on his important new textbook, Comprehensive Facial Rejuvenation. The film crew also tours Dr. Lam's new facility at Willow Bend. The team will film Dr. Lam's lectures and surgery in Seoul, Korea in December 2003.

11.17.03: Dr. Lam's Textbook is Published. Dr. Lam's first medical textbook, Comprehensive Facial Rejuvenation: A Practical and Systematic Guide to Surgical Management of the Aging Face, is published by Lippincott, Williams, & Wilkins. This full-color, multimedia textbook caters to surgeons and dermatologists interested in learning how to undertake the latest, most advanced techniques for rejuvenation of the aging face and constitutes the most comprehensive textbook on management of the aging face in any language. This hardcover edition includes two DVDs, covering 17 surgical and dermatological procedures. Dr. Lam not only wrote the text but also did all of the illustrations for the book. 9.16.03: Lecture at Private Willow-Bend Estate. Dr. Lam gives a lecture on the latest surgical techniques that he uses for the aging face along with the newest laser technology for dark and red spots of the skin and the latest in soft-tissue fillers. His lecture will be presented in a private Willow-Bend estate of one of his patients and is by invitation only.

9.6.03: Dr. Lam sponsors the Dallas Chinese Community Center Gala. The Dallas Chinese Community Center serves to foster Chinese cultural exchange and to provide a welcome forum for Chinese to gather to participate in educational and entertaining programs that include English langauge classes, Tai-Chi classes, computer classes and recreational activities. This wonderful center celebrates its twentieth year and has been entirely self-sufficient since 2002 when the government of the Republic of China withdrew its support. 8.16.03: Dr. Lam Judges the Miss Asian-American Texas Pageant. Dr. Lam is invited to judge the Miss Asian-American Texas Pageant held at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas. The event celebrated the talent and the beauty of many young Asian-American women of Texas who gave their time and effort to showcase their individual, rich ethnic heritage and the winner of which will advance to represent Texas at the Miss Asian-American USA Pageant.
