The Lam Facial Plastic Surgery Center is dedicated to the highest quality specialty care for facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. The center is designed to provide, first and foremost, the safest environment by meeting all the criteria set forth by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (www.aaahc.org). Of equal importance, the center strives to provide the most personalized and luxurious care for the facial cosmetic patient but at the same time achieve unsurpassed affordability by remaining a freely standing entity. By being fully integrated into Dr. Lam’s office suites, the center is intended to offer seamless preoperative, operative, and postoperative management for your convenience and continuity of care.

 The night before, you will receive a phone call by our courteous staff and anesthesia provider to review with you all of the details for the following morning and to answer any of your questions that remain.
On the morning of the procedure, you will enter the center via our discreet, private back entrance that remains locked at all times for your safety and privacy (please ring the bell to attain admission). Your companion can remain in the private lounge and pass the time during your procedure by viewing our 42” plasma television with premium satellite programming, over 100 DVD library, and Playstation 2 games; decide to enjoy the other amenities of the center like the José Eber salon, the Luminaire Laser Center, or Plano Dental Excellence (which we can arrange); or visit the high-end retail shops like Neiman-Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue at the Shops at Willow Bend across the street. We will notify your companion when your procedure is completed.
You will be assigned a private, locker where you can secure your clothing and personal effects during the procedure. Dr. Lam himself and his staff will review with you the details and objectives of your surgery prior to your procedure. You will be swathed in a warm blanket and absorb yourself in meditative music as you wait. You can also receive aromatherapy and professional massage therapy if you like (please arrange for these services in advance).
 After your procedure, Dr. Lam’s staff will usher you out via our private, back exit with your companion. Dr. Lam will also call you that evening to ensure that all is going well, and you will be given Dr. Lam’s private cellular phone number to reach him should you have any questions. For all of your aftercare, you can enter via our private entrance as long as you should desire. Dr. Lam is available for you 24/7 should you have a question, concern, or comment.
Dr. Lam has hand selected his team of qualified anesthetists and anesthesiologists with whom he has worked extensively based on the quality of their anesthesia delivery and personalized care for his patients. Dr. Lam truly believes that the quality of your anesthesia is of commensurate importance to the quality of your surgery. For the majority of Dr. Lam’s cosmetic procedures, he prefers “twilight” anesthesia in which you receive sedation intravenously rather than with a breathing tube. Unlike general anesthesia, you will remain asleep but will be breathing comfortably on your own. However, Dr. Lam will choose to provide general anesthesia if indicated.
For hair transplantation, chemical peels, and other smaller procedures, Dr. Lam also offers even lighter sedation than “twilight” to minimize recovery time and to optimize affordability. Based on Dr. Lam’s judgment, he will suggest which option is the most suitable for you.
To make your time with the Lam Facial Plastic Surgery Center as convenient as possible, Dr. Lam’s staff can also arrange for a stay at a nearby hotel of your choice that can meet all budgets. As Dr. Lam caters to many out-of-town patients, he can arrange taxi and limousine services to and from the airport or from any other departure/destination point as requested.
If you are traveling alone or would like additional personal assistance, Dr. Lam uses an aftercare companion service that can provide transportation, meal preparation or procurement, and supportive care.
