Chin Augmentation, Facelift/Neck Lift
This 33-year-old woman is shown before and 1 day after a deep neck lift/chin implant to manage a sagging neck contour that she was born with. This advanced technique involves partial removal of the submandibular glands, removal of deep neck fat, selective removal of subcutaneous fat, digastric muscle shave, platysmaplasty, microliposuction of the jowls, and a medium-sized extended anatomic Conform chin implant custom-shaved anteriorly to reduce anterior projection. Neck liposuction or Kybella would be the wrong solution and would have either worsened her condition or not improved it. The mild swelling in the neck signifies the drain running across the neck that will be there for one week. Absolutely no skin was removed. Use of tranexemic acid has virtually eliminated bruising, as Dr. Lam uses in almost all surgeries.
